Wooting one troubleshoot guide for Wootility

If you have troubles loading the Wootility or connection issues with your Wooting one please follow these steps, and your Wooting one will be up and running in no-time.

Step one

Unplug the micro-USB cable from your Wooting one and your system, then connect the cable again, and click on the test connection button in the Wootility.

If this resolves your issue the Wootility will load normally. If it doesn't continue to the next step.

Step two

Connect the USB cable to another USB port on your system, and click on the test connection button in the  Wootility .
If this resolves your issue the  Wootility   will  load normally. If it doesn't continue to the next step.

Step three

Connect the USB cable to a USB 2.0 port on your system, and click on the test connection button in the  Wootility .
 If this resolves your issue the  Wootility   will  load normally. If it doesn't continue to the next step.

Step four

Use a different micro USB cable to connect the Wooting one to your system, and click on the test connection button in the  Wootility .
If this resolves your issue the  Wootility wil  load normally (if this is the case your cable is faulty, be sure to send us an email for a replacement). If your issue still isn't resolved you have to restore/reset your Wooting one. As explained in the following steps.


Restore / reset

Step one

Unplug your Wooting one.

Step two

Hold down the mode key and right arrow key on your Wooting one.

Step three

While holding down these keys plug your Wooting one back in.

Step four

Once plugged in, release the mode and right arrow keys.

Step five

Click the restore button in the Wootility.

Step six

In the Wootility, please carefully read the update instruction before you select the correct keyboard layout. 

You can choose between an "ISO" or "ANSI" layout. Please see your "Return/Enter" to identify the layout. An ISO layout has a large L shaped Return/Enter key. An ANSI layout has a rectangular shaped Return/Enter key.

Step seven

You have successfully reset the keyboard. There's no need to restart the  Wootility  or unplug the keyboard.
